Long Time... No 'Blogging'.

Well, it's been a while since I last 'blogged' (not that anyone really care all that much) but I thought I'd jot down a few of the 2009 happenings of my life. Starting back with the summer (some months back) I spent most of my summer out at Havasu enjoying the Lake & riding Sea Doos. No big vacation trips this year but I did take a short trip in October over to El Paso to see my son, Scott, and his family before he was deployed to Iraq for the second time. I spent a quiet Thanksgiving in Havasu and was off back to California the next day. I went back by way of Joshua Tree and spent a couple of days with friends enjoying their company and riding quads in the desert. I drove my Jeep back to CA so I could lend it to my son, Christopher, and his wife while they spent the Christmas holidays in California. They flew out from Virginia for a three week visit and a set of wheels (even Jeep wheels) make them a bit more mobile.

The Holidays were very nice. I always enjoy a chance to see everyone. I had a delicious Christmas dinner at my daughter Allison's home in Queen Creek, AZ and watched the grandkids open Christmas gifts. I spent New Years back in California and a week or so later I returned to Lake Havasu City and watched on TV as California dealt with heavy rain during January. Next week I plan a quick trip to Las Vegas to see Christopher as he will be working there for a week during the 'driver selection' for the upcoming race season. Even though I just saw him at Christmas I figure I can't pass up the chance to spend a little time with him since I don't know how long it will be until he is out this way again. Besides who would want to pass up an excuse to go to 'Vegas?

So there you have it... except for the 2010 'Events of Note'... I have three grandbabies due in 2010 and they start arriving in March. My daughter Jennifer and her husband, Shaine, will welcome their 6th child... and Abbi will have a sister to help her to keep her 4 brothers in line. Ryan and Rachel are expecting their second child in June so Sophia (now 3) will have a playmate. And Christopher (my 'baby') and Brittney have just announced they are very excited to be looking forward to their first baby due the end of September (just as the racing season ends...). So needless to say I am very excited about the months ahead in 2010 and I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous year as well.
